Jamaican basketballers to take up scholarships in the United States

Two members of the Jamaica Basketball Association KFC Elite Academy Draft will be taking up scholarships in the United States this year.

 

Shevon Thompson, the number one pick has received a scholarship to Midland Junior College in Texas.

 

Meanwhile Roshane Hamil, the 6’ 11 former Ocho Rios High, the 5th pick in the JABA-KFC Elite Academy Draft has also received a scholarship to Redlands Junior College.

 

Both were a part of the JABA-KFC Elite programme, which utilized the best high school coaches in Jamaica to help develop their talent at the University of Technology during the last eight months.
