Finance Minister Dr Peter Phillips has dismissed claims by the Opposition Jamaica Labour Party that the government is struggling to arrive at a deal with the International Monetary Fund, IMF.
Dr Phillips announced in Parliament yesterday that the government will be sharing more information with the public in the coming weeks on the talks.
In a presentation which he said was geared at addressing concerns about the state of the economy and the pace of negotiations with the IMF, Dr. Phillips said there was much talk by JLP spokespersons that he warned could damage the efforts being made to restore the economy.
He said none of the commitments made by the previous administration with the Fund were completed within the agreed time frame.
