The Jamaica Association of Transport Owners and Operators, JATOO, has issued a warning that there may be disruption of service to the public transport sector next month, if the government goes ahead with plans to kick off operators from routes operated by the Jamaica Urban Transit Corporation, JUTC.

In a statement issued Wednesday night, JATOO, said the livelihood of more than 400 operators who operate under a franchise agreement with the JUTC is now in limbo.

National Coordinator for JATOO, Egeton Newman, said the organization has received word that come next month its members will be removed from routes operated by the JUTC in the Kingston Metropolitan Transport Region.
