The West Indies women’s cricketers yesterday suffered a second straight T20I loss to England going down by 28 runs in game two at Old Trafford.
The Caribbean team electing to field were unable to contain the English as they piled up 150 for 3 from their 20 overs.
Sarah Taylor bladed a 37 ball 53 with 7 fours – Arran Brindle chipped in with an unbeaten 42 while Charlotte Edwards added 21.
Jamaica’s Shanel Daley was the most successful of the West Indian bowlers picking up 2 for 21.
Merissa Aguillera then hit a top-score of 37 but the West Indies were restricted to 122 for 6.
The win was the 19th on the trot for England which leads the 5 match series 2 nil.
